Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Pensacola, FL seeks a Lineperson Class B to install and maintain overhead distribution and transmission lines, including pole setting and wiring installations. You will diagnose issues on energized systems, travel for storm work, and ensure equipment safety and readiness.

Applicants should have 5+ years in electrical power line construction, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain CDL within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment and safe operation.
• Ability to troubleshoot with unknown on-site conditions.
• Experience with energized high-voltage systems.
• Ability to climb structures and use required climbing tools.
• Proven ability to identify, operate and service tools and equipment listed in the job.
• Must have or be able to obtain a CDL within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Set poles and anchors; string overhead wire.
• Install transformers, arresters, cutouts, cross arms and switches.
• Perform construction, maintenance, or repair on energized or de-energized lines with safety compliance.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary system issues.
• Replace fuses and clear faulted circuits.
• Ensure daily testing and inspection of tools and equipment.
