Job summary

Black & Veatch's Structural Engineer (Power) Summer Intern program offers hands-on experience addressing critical infrastructure challenges across power projects in Raleigh, NC, Chattanooga, TN, or Houston, TX. You will contribute to diverse projects and gain exposure to design, analysis, and drafting activities.

No experience required; currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program with emphasis in structural engineering. Preference for at least one design course.

Qualifications

• No experience required; current enrollment in ABET accredited civil engineering program with emphasis in structural engineering.
• Preferred at least 1 design course.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

• Support development of design specifications and contract drawings.
• Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs.
• Prepare basic calculations.
• Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling.
• Organize and file project materials and references.
