Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation invites motivated students to join as a Structural Engineer (Power) Summer Intern. You will contribute to design development, contract drawings, and engineering analyses while gaining hands-on experience across projects and disciplines.

Chosen candidates will be located in, or relocate to Raleigh (NC), Chattanooga (TN), or Houston (TX). This internship is structured to build skills in a collaborative, safety-conscious environment within an employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited university enrollment in Civil Engineering (Structural focus preferred).
• Preferred coursework includes at least 1 design course.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support development of design specifications and contract drawings.
• Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs.
• Prepare basic calculations.
• Organize and file project materials and references.
