Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking an engineering student for a Structural intern position in our Power & Industry team to gain hands-on experience in structural engineering on power and industrial projects. You will assist engineers with drawings, calculations, and reports, learn AutoCAD and REVIT, and collaborate with project managers.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a structural or civil engineering program at a Junior or Senior level.
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering; structural or civil preferred.
Experience with drafting programs, particularly AutoCAD and REVIT.
Must have good skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers and project managers with day-to-day project tasks.
Prepare Specification Packages.
Prepare Structural Drawings using AutoCAD.
Prepare structural design and analysis calculations and models.
Coordinate and develop client proposals and estimates.
Apply engineering principles to assist in the design of Power & Industry Projects.
Travel to local project sites (up to 5%).
