Job summary

GAI, a multidisciplinary engineering firm in Pennsylvania, seeks a student Engineering Intern to join the Power & Industry team and gain hands-on experience across mechanical design, analysis, and project support. You will assist engineers and project managers with specifications, drawings in AutoCAD, calculations, and technical reports.

The internship is full-time for about 3 months, with potential additional schedules.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in engineering (mechanical) is required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new software and processes in mechanical engineering.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and project managers with day-to-day project tasks.
• Prepare Specification Packages.
• Prepare Mechanical Drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare mechanical design and analysis calculations and models.
• Prepare mechanical design and analysis written reports.
• Coordinate and develop client proposals and estimates.
• Apply engineering principles to assist in design of Power & Industry projects.
• Travel to local project sites up to 5%.
