Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an engineering student intern to join our Power & Industry team. This temporary, full-time position offers about 3 months of work delivering hands-on mechanical design and analysis tasks under senior staff.

You will help prepare specifications, drawings in AutoCAD, and various technical reports while learning project management and client coordination. Travel to local sites may be required (5%).

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a mechanical engineering program (Junior/Senior).
• Strong willingness to apply engineering principles to real projects.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and project managers with day-to-day tasks.
• Prepare specification packages and mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop mechanical design calculations and write reports.
• Coordinate proposals and estimates for client projects.
• Apply engineering principles to Power & Industry projects.
