Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc is seeking an engineering student intern to join our Power & Industry team, gaining hands-on experience in structural engineering on diverse power and industrial projects.

The internship is a temporary full-time role (40 hours/week) with a 3-month duration; duties include assisting engineers, preparing drawings, performing analyses, and supporting client proposals. Enrolled students in structural/civil programs encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in structural or civil engineering program at junior/senior level.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred for internship.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with drafting programs, AutoCAD; Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and project managers with day-to-day tasks for project delivery.
• Prepare Specification Packages and Structural Drawings in AutoCAD.
• Develop structural design and analysis calculations and models.
• Prepare written structural design and analysis reports.
• Coordinate client proposals and estimates; support Power & Industry projects.
