Job summary

Burford’s Construction is seeking a General Laborer-Spotter to support vegetation clearing and maintenance for power grid projects, providing an entry-level path into a critical infrastructure field.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and physical stamina; candidates must read/write English, lift 50 lbs+, be willing to travel, and join storm restoration efforts when required. A valid driver's license is required, CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read/write and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL strongly preferred.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor.
• Willing to work overtime and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Secure safety of yourself and others using PPE and proper tools.
• Assist in vegetation management and clearing activities.
• Support team in meeting project objectives.
• Join storm restoration efforts when required.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely and professionally.
• Participate in ongoing training to improve skills.
