Job summary

Burford's Construction in Moraine, Ohio is seeking a Learner to support vegetation management and basic clearing work for our power grid projects. You will learn to operate vehicles and equipment safely, perform safety checks, assist team members, and join storm restoration efforts when needed.

No prior experience required, high school diploma preferred, CDL is a plus, and some travel may be required. This entry-level role offers hands-on training, exposure to safety protocols, and pathways

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• A Commercial Driver’s License is strongly preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
• Readily join storm restoration efforts in times of need.
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Secure the safety of yourself and others using proper tools, PPE and safety practices.
• Assist in vegetation management and clearing with visual observations and safety checks.
• Help teammates in meeting project objectives.
• Join storm restoration efforts as needed.
• Operate vehicles and equipment in a professional, safe manner.
• Participate in ongoing training to improve technical and leadership skills.
