Job summary

Burford’s Construction in Moraine, Ohio is seeking an entry-level Learner to assist in removing vegetation, clearing rights of way, and supporting storm restoration efforts. You will learn safety practices, operate basic equipment, and contribute to project objectives on site.

No experience is required, but you must read and communicate in English, be physically capable, and able to travel as needed. CDL preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• A Commercial Driver’s License is strongly preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
• Readily join storm restoration efforts in times of need.
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Securing safety using proper tools, PPE and procedures.
• Assist in vegetation management and clearing.
• Support fellow workers to meet project objectives.
• Join storm restoration efforts when needed.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely and professionally.
• Participate in ongoing training to improve skills.
