Job summary

PowerGrid Services, LLC is seeking personnel to remove vegetation along rights of way for infrastructure projects such as roads, powerlines, and pipelines. The role involves operating bulldozers, excavators, and brush cutters to clear trees and brush across designated areas.

Responsibilities include performing physical manual labor, maintaining a clean job site, handling materials, and following safety and incident reporting procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• CDL is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
• Must have good hand eye coordination.
• Must be able to repair tools and equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving physical manual labor.
• Maintain a neat and clean job site to avoid potential hazards.
• Perform materials handling and storage.
• Load and unload trucks, hauls, and hoist materials.
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Clean and prepare job sites.
• Clean up rubble and debris and remove waste material.
• Prunes and remove vegetation using chainsaws, hand saws, mowers and other tools and equipment.
• Removes and chips brush.
• Applies herbicide according to label instructions, state and industry standards.
• Work from bucket or ground.
• Assists crew members and other departments.
• Demonstrates continued learning and progression of responsibilities, skills, and abilities to progress in the department.
