Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Electrical or Computer Engineering intern to evaluate and validate next-generation Distribution Management System applications in Bellevue, WA. You will bridge software development and grid operations, designing tests, documenting results, and helping educate users.

You will work with Linux-based environments, learn ArgoCD and GitOps deployments, and contribute to quality assurance while communicating findings through training materials for grid operators and engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Fundamental understanding of electric power distribution systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a passion for software quality.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on testing of new Distribution Management applications to assess functionality, reliability, and integration within existing power system environments.
• Design and build comprehensive test cases to validate application performance, edge cases, and user requirements, ensuring features meet quality standards.
