GE Vernova Grid Solutions invites a graduate student intern for the GridOS Project Engineer Co-Op/Intern position in Bellevue, WA or Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on applying AI/LLMs to electric power system model validation, diagnostics, and automated remediation, combining power systems knowledge with data analytics and software development.

The ideal candidate has a background in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) or Computer Science, plus Python programming and strong English

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. Electrical Engineering (Power Systems specialization) or Computer Science.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Programming experience in Python and data analytics.
• Excellent English communication skills – both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Analyze extensive power system model validation and diagnostic logs.
• Develop AI/LLM-based approaches to detect, classify, and prioritize modeling issues.
• Investigate network model inconsistencies and determine probable root causes.
• Build intelligent workflows that suggest corrective actions for remediation.
• Support and troubleshoot Distribution Automation functions including FLISR, VVO, fault location, and feeder reconfiguration.
