Job summary

Aggreko seeks a Technician 1 Power Rotation based in Odessa, TX. You will be based out of our Midland, TX/Carlsband, NM service center and travel daily in your company vehicle to field sites and customer locations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and commissioning of diesel generators and related equipment, with opportunities for overtime, weekends, and travel. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 60–75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience working on Cummins diesel power/natural gas generators, mechanics or electricians and/or commercial, performing inspections, maintenance, and repair.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Based at Midland, TX/Carlsband, NM service center and travel daily in company vehicle.
• Work overtime and weekends; potential for travel.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment.
• Commissioning of multiple canopy generators, single containerized generator.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and on customer locations, and handle repairs.
• Work solo or as a team to set up and operate equipment at shop and customer sites.
