Job summary

JCB North America is seeking a Field Technical Support Engineer to deliver real-time technical assistance to field technicians and ensure rental customer equipment uptime. The role involves diagnosing generator systems, reviewing warranty claims, and communicating with global service teams to resolve product concerns.

Based in San Antonio, TX or Savannah, GA, the position requires up to 15% travel across North America and a proactive, customer-focused approach to problem-solving in a high-demand

Qualifications

• Ability to read advanced electrical schematics and control logic.
• Strong diagnostic skills on power generation equipment.
• 5 years of experience in power generation and internal combustion engine maintenance.
• Experience with large rental fleets preferred.
• Must pass any background checks and pre-employment tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate technical information to customers to support generator diagnostics and repair.
• Maintain high response rates to customer inquiries by phone and email.
• Travel to support technical issues and provide product training as required.
• Analyze warranty claims to identify emerging product concerns.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to resolve issues.
