Job summary

JCB, Inc. is seeking a Power Products Technical Specialist to provide real-time technical support for generator diagnostics and repair teams across North America. This full-time role is based in San Antonio, TX or Savannah, GA, with travel up to 15% to customers and dealers.

You will diagnose complex electrical and control system issues, analyze warranty data, and coordinate with global service teams to resolve product concerns while upholding JCB standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read advanced electrical schematics and control logic flows.
• Strong technical diagnostic skills on power generation equipment and components.
• 5 years of experience in power generation and internal combustion engine equipment, maintenance and repair.
• Experience with large rental fleets preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate technical information to customers to support generator diagnostics and repair.
• Maintain high level of phone and email response rates to customer enquiries.
• Travel to support technical customer issues and provide product training as required.
• Analyze warranty claims to identify any emerging product concerns.
• Prioritize product quality concerns for resolution with the manufacturing and engineering teams.
• Drive conformance to JCB standards for service concern closure and field action.
• Communicate with global service teams on common service and product concerns and work collaboratively on resolutions.
• Support testing of failed components to ascertain detailed failure information.
• Communicate any necessary product field action via technical bulletins, product updates, e-mail, and phone.
• Other duties as assigned.
