This role supports presales, order execution, and ensures designs meet Caterpillar capabilities and contractual requirements. Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Strong experience in engine and ancillary system designs and applications.
• Proven ability to develop and apply mechanical system definitions and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical system definition and calculation using 2D schematics (engine arrangement, cooling, fuel oil, lubrication, exhaust, starting air, etc.) for North America electric power and oil & gas orders.
• Coordinate technical and engineering issues with the engineering manager and presales to ensure design compliance and interface requirements.
• Promote cost-effective designs and reuse common engineering designs to save time and improve quality.
