Job summary

The Caterpillar Houston office is seeking a Project Engineer to lead development and execution of G20CM34 natural gas power generation projects across CAT's Oil, Gas & Marine and Electric Power Division. You will own the technical interface between the customer and the GCM34 Application Engineering team, from proposal through commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in power or utilities industries, strong HV/MV electrical experience, and cross-functional project engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience with medium and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Electrical engineering background in utilities, power generation, power plants, or comparable industrial environments.
• Cross-functional project engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Listen, understand, document, and communicate the customer’s technical inquiries to the supporting application engineering team.
• Deliver professional and organized responses that delight the customer and the owner’s engineers.
