Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, seeks a QA/QC Technician to perform inspections and functional testing on generator systems at the manufacturing plant to ensure electrical codes and engineer specs are met and safe to energize on-site before leaving the plant.

Required NFPA 70E certification and a high school diploma; strong reading of manuals, safety rules, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Four progression levels include inspector roles and FAT lead responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and NFPA 70E certification.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals and written instructions.
• Experience with switchgear, electrical or generator systems preferred; other experience may be considered.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate PPE and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Locate, organize, and maintain documentation for specific jobs.
• Perform inspections and testing procedures to quality standards.
• Record results and specifications accurately.
• Move equipment using forklift or pallet jack.
• Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement.
