Job summary

W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company seeks an experienced Project Manager for Power Generation within the Yates Industrial Division.

You will lead power project delivery, coordinating crafts, subcontractors, and vendors to meet schedule, budget, and client satisfaction. The role requires 5+ years in heavy industrial construction, direct-hire package management, and Power sector expertise, with PMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or closely related field preferred (equivalent direct-hire industrial experience accepted).
• Minimum 5+ years of construction management experience in heavy industrial construction.
• Required Craft Experience: managing crafts and direct-hire packages valued at $50M+.
• Power Sector Expertise: direct-hire power project experience required; ACC experience with CC plants preferred.
• PMP Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, implement, and manage all aspects to construct power generation projects on time and within budget.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day leader for assigned projects and liaise between project team members, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
• Manage direct-hire craft resources and subcontractor packages valued at $50M+ across CCGT, simple cycle, HRSG, boilers, and BOP.
• Develop site logistics plans with field supervision and oversee CPM schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Incorporate VDC/BIM strategies into daily field execution; ensure safety, QA/QC, and contract compliance.
