Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking a Power Systems Project Manager to oversee multiple diesel and gaseous engine projects, generators, ATS, and related equipment from quote to customer acceptance.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in power system project management or engineering, strong communication skills, and a collaborative, customer-focused mindset to drive on-time delivery and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-years experience as a project manager or engineer in the electric power industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university or related equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience of diesel & gaseous engines, generator sets, paralleling switchgear, ATS, or related projects.
• Strong human relations skills and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Self-motivated with 5+ years of direct customer contact experience.
• Excellent working knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment and power generation systems, ideally Caterpillar.

Responsibilities

• Review new projects for BOM accuracy, cost estimates, and terms & conditions; coordinate with Sales and Management.
• Verify quotes meet specifications and customer technical requirements.
• Coordinate submittal approvals, release for manufacturing, and ensure timely project completion.
• Issue purchase orders to vendors and procure equipment.
• Coordinate shipping services to meet customer requirements.
• Perform invoicing for delivered goods and services.
