Job summary

Tucson Electric Power is seeking a qualified Supervisor, Power Generation Operations to lead shift teams at our fossil-fuel plants in the Tucson area. You will ensure safe, reliable, and economical generation, and oversee maintenance coordination across departments to meet load requirements.

The role requires a minimum of six years of journeyman level experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum six years of journeyman level experience in Power Plant Operations or equivalent.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift staff operating fossil fuel fired units safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate daily, preventative, and emergent maintenance tasks across departments.
• Ensure generation units operate within design parameters to meet load requirements.
• Administer and monitor staff performance and training needs.
