Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, Texas, seeks a Manager, Power Generation to lead the engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance of on-site power generation systems, ensuring 24/7, mission-critical manufacturing power at the Bastrop site.

You will own end-to-end performance of gas-fired turbines, generators, fuel systems, electrical interconnection, and emissions control, while driving capital projects, maintenance programs, and safety with a culture of ownership and rapid iteration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in power generation engineering, operations, or construction at large facilities.
• 4+ years leading engineers, operators, and technicians in 24/7 environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a multidisciplinary team for sitewide power generation reliability.
• Own end-to-end performance of turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant.
• Oversee natural gas fuel systems, metering, conditioning, and safety.
• Manage electrical interconnection, HV switchgear, and grid integration.
• Drive procurement, contracts, and construction to meet aggressive schedules.
• Lead capital projects and expand generation capacity for ramp-up.
• Maintain preventive/predictive maintenance and regulatory compliance.
