Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Power Generation Availability Engineer to lead availability modeling for data-center power systems. You will own cross-team decisions, evaluate diverse generation sources, and help shape designs that meet safety, availability, and cost targets.

You will collaborate with global teams to deliver scalable solutions, interpret electrical drawings, and guide ecosystem partners while exploring new energy storage and microgrid strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in industrial or commercial engineering for mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with availability modeling and data analysis of power systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, and P&ID drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop availability models for diverse power generation sources for data centers.
• Support configurations for primary, temporary, or backup power.
• Interpret and develop SLDs, drawings, and equipment data to guide design.
• Provide feedback to design and field engineering for improvements.
• Understand grid interconnection standards and microgrid concepts.
• Lead projects across multiple regions and teams.
