Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Sr. Product Design Engineer with diesel generator experience for our Electrical Products and Services team.

You will design and qualify critical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers, including diesel generators and aftertreatment systems, while ensuring international compliance and supply chain resilience. You will work with global suppliers, field teams, and internal partners to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions that meet uptime

Qualifications

• Experience with mission critical facilities and power generation.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical data center equipment.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Define design requirements with internal teams for new products.
• Lead design, development and qualification of electrical power distribution gear, diesel gensets, enclosures and aftertreatment systems.
• Coordinate with global suppliers to ensure supply chain resiliency.
• Ensure compliance with UL/CSA/IEC and applicable codes across regions.
• Prototype, pre-production, and first-of-kind builds with DFx/value engineering.
• Collaborate with field teams to test and validate installation and performance.
• Support manufacturing on concurrent projects across geographies.
• Lead and mentor the product development team and partners.
