Job summary

ProPetro Energy Solutions in the United States is seeking a Power Generation Journeyman Electrician to install, test, and maintain low- to medium-voltage electrical systems supporting power generation and site infrastructure.

The role requires a valid Journeyman license, 2+ years of MV/industrial experience, and strict adherence to NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E. You will work independently, document activities in CMMS, and mentor junior electricians.

Qualifications

• Participate in pre-job planning and safety briefings.
• Document work in CMMS and track parts used.
• Mentor Electrician I personnel and ensure safety policy compliance.

Job Summary

The Power Generation Journeyman Electrician performs independent installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low-and medium-voltage electrical systems supporting power generation and site infrastructure. This role requires a Journeyman Electrician license and the ability to execute work safely and in compliance with NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 70E standards.

Responsibilities

• Independently install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including generators, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, transformers, and protection devices.
• Perform advanced electrical testing (megger, phasing, load checks, functional verification).
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions to restore system performance.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and commissioning plans.
• Verify installation quality and readiness for energization or system turnover.
• Participate in pre-job planning, hazard analysis, and safety briefings.
• Document work performed, diagnostic steps, and parts used in the CMMS.
• Mentor and support Electrician I personnel.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and company safety policies.
• Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe driving practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Journeyman Electrician license required.
• Minimum 2 years of medium-voltage or industrial electrical experience.
• Strong understanding of NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 70E requirements.
• Proficient in electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting methods.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and make safe, code-compliant decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and able to learn internal software.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors and withstand extreme weather conditions.
