Job summary

PROPWR is seeking a Power Generation Journeyman Electrician for Midland, TX. The role requires independent installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems supporting power generation and site infrastructure.

The ideal candidate holds a Journeyman Electrician license, at least 2 years of MV/industrial experience, and a strong working knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 70E standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman Electrician license required.
• Minimum 2 years of medium‑voltage or industrial electrical experience.
• Strong understanding of NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 70E requirements.
• Proficient in electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting methods.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including generators, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, transformers.
• Perform advanced electrical testing (megger, phasing, load checks, functional verification).
• Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to restore performance.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and commissioning plans; verify readiness for energization.
• Mentor and support Electrician I personnel; ensure safety compliance.
