Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to support the operation of a multi-engine generator facility. You will troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems, working with PLCs, SCADA/HMI, and switchgear.

Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, OEMs, and contractors to ensure reliability, safety, and compliance while following LOTO and environmental requirements in a heavy-industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 4 years of progressive I&E technician experience in power gen or heavy industry.
• Experience with electrical systems up to 34,500 Volts; engine-generator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, repair instrumentation, electrical, and control systems.
• Maintain instrumentation like pressure, temperature, level, flow, and sensors.
• Support engine generator controls, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and telecom networks.
• Inspect and document maintenance in CMMS; follow safety and LOTO procedures.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, OEMs, and contractors.
• Issue root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
