Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to support the safe, reliable operation of a multi-engine power generation facility. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and improve electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems, working with engine-generator packages, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.

The role requires 4+ years in I&E/controls in heavy industries, ability to read P&IDs and schematics, and adherence to safety and lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
4+ years of progressive experience as an I&E/Controls/Electrical technician in heavy industrial environments.
Experience with electrical systems up to 34,500 Volts is preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, repair instrumentation, electrical and control systems for engine-generator units.
Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level, etc.).
Support PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and control panels; assist with commissioning and outages.
Document maintenance activities and coordinate with Operations and Maintenance.
Follow safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental requirements.
