Job summary
Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician / Mechanic in New Hudson, MI. You will be responsible for repairing generators and components, performing diagnostics, and maintaining detailed service records in a customer-facing role.
The position requires high/low voltage experience, basic diesel engine knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and commission ATS systems. A valid driver's license and DOT considerations may apply; relocation is available.
Qualifications
- Broad mechanical and electrical repair skills.
- High/low voltage experience.
- Electrical repairs on power generation products.
- Basic diesel engine experience.
- Troubleshooting and repairing generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
- Commissioning on ATS installations.
Responsibilities
- Completing repair activities on generators or components.
- Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
- Maintain detailed records of service.
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
- Maintain own tools.
