Job summary

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, seeks a Power Generation Electrical Engineering Intern in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a May/June 2027 start. The role runs full-time through the summer with potential part-time work during the school year, at an hourly starting rate of $23.10 with paid company holidays.

You will join a multi-disciplinary team supporting the operation, maintenance, performance and optimization of the Milwaukee Valley Power Plant, receiving mentorship from experienced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or HSE.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with graduation after July 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting operation and maintenance issues.
• Failure investigation.
• Project support.
• Assist in managing small projects.
• Equipment reliability and plant performance optimization.

• Drawing reviews and updates.
