Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Power Generation Workshop Technician in Houston, TX to service and repair generators and related systems on-site.

You will apply procedures, perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and document work using service management systems. Qualifications include apprentice trained power gen / electrical tech, vocational diploma, electrical certification, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing and maintaining generators or similar equipment.
• Strong knowledge of engine systems, electrical circuits and control systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics and technical manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on generators at customer sites.
• Document service work, timesheets and parts used in systems.
• Assist diagnostics and repair planning with Level III technicians.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and comply with safety policies.
• Interact with customers professionally and provide guidance on service needs.
