Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Technician 1 or Technician 2 based in Pearland, TX, to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on Jenbacher natural gas generators and large industrial engines. You’ll gain hands-on training with Jenbacher equipment and controls and advance through structured technical programs.

Candidates should bring experience with power generation, diesel or natural gas engines, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

Experienced with power generators, diesel or natural gas engines; Cummins, Waukesha or Jenbacher experience is a plus.
Comfortable with preventive maintenance, engine troubleshooting and mechanical repairs.
Tech 1 level troubleshooting basics or Tech 2 level diagnostics including valve recession and component repairs.
Ability to read wiring diagrams or develop that skill through training.
Safety-focused, dependable and available to work Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on Jenbacher natural gas generators and 12- and 16-cylinder engines.
Complete mechanical service including oil/filters, valve recession work, and component-level repairs.
Troubleshoot electrical systems: alternators, batteries, starting systems, regulators, breakers and control panels.
Read wiring diagrams and schematics; Tech 2 can troubleshoot 480V three-phase systems.
Work from Pearland service center with occasional Saturday work and potential limited travel after six months.
