Job summary

Aggreko in Pearland, TX is seeking a Technician 1 or Technician 2 to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on Jenbacher natural gas generators and 12- and 16-cylinder engines.

You will read wiring diagrams, work with 480V three-phase systems, and support the Pearland service center with occasional Saturday work and potential travel after six months, gaining hands-on experience and training on a range of diesel and gas power generation equipment.

Qualifications

Experience with power generators, diesel or natural gas engines or comparable equipment.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics; comfortable with 480V three-phase systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on Jenbacher natural gas generators and 12- and 16-cylinder engines.
Complete mechanical service and repairs including oil and filter changes, valve recession work, and component-level repairs.
Troubleshoot generator electrical systems and components including alternators, batteries and starting systems, voltage regulators, breakers, and control panels.
Read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics, with Tech 2-level technicians troubleshooting 480V three-phase systems.
Work primarily from Pearland service center, with occasional Saturday work and the potential for limited field-support travel after your first six months.
