Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Technician 1 — Electric in North Houston, TX. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair generators, electrical distribution equipment, chillers, HVAC systems, and oil-free air compressors to keep customers powered.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on diesel/natural gas generator and HVAC experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read electrical schematics. Expect daily travel, overtime, and continuous training at Aggreko.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years hands-on experience with diesel/natural gas generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Able to calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and read electrical schematics.
• Must have valid driver’s license; ability to obtain DOT/medical card as required.

Responsibilities

• Based out of North Houston, TX service center, travel daily to customer sites in a company vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on generators, electrical distribution equipment, chillers, HVAC systems, and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and on customer sites; diagnose and execute repairs.
• Set up and operate equipment independently or with other technicians, in shop or on site.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed; potential travel to support operations.
