Job summary

GE Vernova in Richmond, VA is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform inspections and dimensional measurements on turbines, generators, and related components. The role includes evaluating steam and gas turbine rotors, performing hardness tests, and releasing parts for shipment from the Richmond Service Center.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED, 5 years of tech experience with power generation equipment or 3 years with a technical certification, strong math skills, and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience with power generating equipment (steam and gas) or 3 years with a Technical Certification.
• Strong math skills and the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations (geometry, reading blueprints).
• Ability to use hand and automated measuring tools of various sizes and complexities.
• Ability to use precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspection on steam, gas turbine rotors and stationary components within the factory and on site (if assigned to site work).
• Performs inspection on generator rotors and components within the factory and on site (if assigned to site work).
• Prepares and tracks NCRs.
• Writes, tracks, and verifies implementation of disposition of NCRs.
• Releases product for shipping.
