Job summary

GE Vernova in Bangor, ME is seeking an Inspection/NDT professional to perform product inspections, tests and documentation according to established procedures. You will work with engineering, quality, operators and customer representatives to ensure conformance and drive corrective actions as needed.

The role requires a two-year degree in Machine Tool or Welding Technology or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years in inspection/NDT.

Qualifications

• Two-year post-secondary degree in Machine Tool Technology or Welding Technology or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of inspection/NDT experience with reads of prints, gauges and forms.
• NDT certification preferred; provide hours proof.

Responsibilities

• Perform product inspection and tests per procedures using gauges, visuals and NDT techniques.
• Write non-conformance reports clearly.
• Audit procedures and documentation; assist in corrective actions.
• Use color code for material ID; read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Achieve and maintain NDT level II certification; interact with engineering, quality and customers.
