Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. seeks a Project Manager – Power Foundations to lead civil and foundation scopes for transmission lines and substations, including drilled piers, caissons, and site development.

This field-based role requires 5–7 years of project management experience in civil, foundation, transmission, or substation work, with willingness to travel on long-term onsite assignments. Coordination with engineering, estimating, and operations ensures safe, on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in PM, construction, eng or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience managing civil, foundation, transmission or substation projects.
• Experience with Primavera, HCSS, or similar scheduling software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and commit to long-term onsite assignments.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and foundation scopes for transmission line and substation projects.
• Oversee drilled pier and caisson foundations, spread footings, and site development.
• Ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality compliance.
• Manage field personnel, subcontractors, equipment and material logistics.
• Track costs, forecasts, schedules, and productivity metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and operations teams.
• Maintain strong client relationships and communication throughout project lifecycle.
• Promote and exemplify Michels' safety-first culture.
