Job summary

POWERX in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Field Service Technician (NETA 3) to lead projects, perform moderately complex inspections, tests and measurements on de-energized equipment, set up and remove test gear, record data, and uphold safety standards on site. You will mentor technicians, write detailed reports, manage test equipment, and coordinate with other teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Requires high school diploma, 5+ years experience, NETA 3 preferred, and travel up to 50%

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• NETA certification level 3 preferred or in process.
• 5+ years of field service experience in electrical/mechanical testing.

Responsibilities

• Moderate/Advanced electrical measurements and data collection.
• Lead projects and supervise technicians on site.
• Write detailed reports on test results and findings.
• Set up and remove test equipment; ensure equipment storage and upkeep.
• Travel up to 50% and maintain safety standards on site.
