Role Description
This is a remote role for a Power Engineer (PE) at PCItek located in Springfield, MO. The PE will be responsible for generating and maintaining the power system models for the transmission operations, planning and protection systems. This position will use methods and tools to manage the models used to support the grid operations in the utility departments and control centers. These tools will allow the PE to ensure the maintenance and accurate operation of power system models. The qualified candidate will also collaborate with other engineers and technicians to ensure that power systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably.
Qualifications
Must have experience in the Electric Utility Operations and Business Functions in the Transmission and Distribution space.
Must have experience at a utility working as a Power System Engineer in either the Operations, Planning or Protection departments
Experience developing and maintaining power system models in Planning, Operations and Protection.
Strong Analytical Skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
IEC or IEEE Standards knowledge is a plus.
