Job summary

WSP USA invites motivated Electrical Engineering interns to join the Power and Energy team in Overland Park, KS for a 12-week summer program starting May 17, 2027. This role offers hands-on exposure to real projects, mentorship, and professional development within a global engineering practice.

You will work under senior staff, perform preliminary design calculations, and support documentation while developing technical and ethical engineering skills in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering undergraduate program with anticipated Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering and ability to communicate to engineering and non-engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks and adhere to safety policies.
