Job summary

Nextpower Inc. in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Manufacturing Excellence Engineer to lead manufacturing engineering activities with contract manufacturers, establishing repeatable, scalable production processes for power electronics.

You will develop assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, work instructions, testing methods, and manufacturing documentation, supporting prototypes through production ramp and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years progressive manufacturing engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience developing and improving assembly processes for power electronics.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, value-stream mapping, and waste reduction.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes and create work instructions.
• Lead Process FMEAs and develop assembly fixtures.
• Validate manufacturing processes and improve First Pass Yield.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), pilot builds, and production ramp.
