Job summary

RTX’s EAP team seeks junior to mid-level engineers with power electronics knowledge to design and integrate robust power systems for telemetry and flight termination products. You’ll work on non-isolated and isolated converter topologies, analog circuitry, and support from concept to integration in a challenging, mission-focused environment.

You will collaborate with a small team, define schedules, mentor drafting activities, and present results to leadership, while advancing technical growth

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced STEM degree.
• Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
• Experience using MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar tools.
• Design and/or analysis experience with analog electronics including FETs/BJTs, op-amp, filters, termination, and comparator circuits.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry including switch-mode and linear converters.
• Help shepherd circuit card development from requirements through integration testing.
• Define schedules for circuit-level tasks and coordinate with ECAD draftsmen.
• Provide guidance on layout, routing, and layer stackup; contribute as an individual contributor.
• Present work product clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
