Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking junior to mid-level Power Electronics Engineers to design robust power systems for telemetry and flight termination products. The role emphasizes power conversion, analog circuits, and collaboration with ECAD teams on PCB layouts, with onsite duties in a security-conscious environment.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree with hands-on experience in buck/boost converters and MATLAB/ MathCAD tooling; strong documentation and presentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM bachelor’s degree or advanced degree.
• Design, analysis, testing, and/or simulation experience with non-isolated buck, boost, or buck-boost topologies.
• Experience with MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica.
• Analog electronics design experience including FETs/BJTs, op-amps, filters, data termination, and comparators.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry.
• Drive circuit card development from requirements through initial integration testing.
• Define schedules for circuit-level tasking and coordinate with layout teams.
• Present work to functional and program leadership.
