Chariot Defense Inc. is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to join our engineering team in San Bruno, CA. You will design, develop, test, and validate energy storage and power electronic systems for demanding military applications.

Report to the Head of Electrical Engineering and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to meet stringent performance, reliability and security requirements. Onsite role with travel as needed; competitive compensation and equity are included.

Competenze

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related degree.
3+ years of end-to-end circuit design, component selection and testing experience.
Proficiency with CAD tools (Altium preferred) and simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink/Spice).
Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and power supplies, etc.
Fluent in CAN BUS protocols (J1939, CANOPEN) and other low-voltage networking protocols.
Familiarity with MIL-STD, DO-160, or other defense standards.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Mansioni

Design, develop schematics, layouts and circuits for power electronics with energy storage and safety systems.
Perform circuit simulations, bench testing, and system validation to MIL-STD standards.
Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software and systems engineers for integration.
Apply design-for-reliability, EMI/EMC mitigation, and ruggedization for harsh environments.
Generate technical reports, test plans and ensure MIL-STD compliance.
Provide lifecycle support from concept through field deployment.
