About E&ES:

Caterpillar’s Electrification & Energy Solutions division (E+ES) focuses on advanced power systems development, emphasizing electrification to provide sustainable power solutions. The E+ES Power Electronics team is responsible for the end-to-end design and development of power electronics for various Caterpillar applications.

Job Summary:

The Power Electronics team handles the design and development of power electronics for multiple applications. We are seeking a Electrical Design Engineer responsible for leading and delivering electrical designs necessary for developing low voltage power electronics components, including inverter and converter systems. This role involves designing, layout, and simulation of printed circuit boards, bus bars, sensors, harnesses, and electronics packaging. You will work with a highly experienced team of engineers with significant expertise across Caterpillar electric drive applications.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Work with the power conversion application engineering groups to establish application architecture and electrical requirements for power electronics components/systems.
2. Develop and implement electrical architecture for power electronics used in NPI & NTI machine/product programs.
3. Create design concepts and detailed electrical schematics for low voltage systems.
