An established industry player is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join their Global Asset Engineering and Design Team. This role involves developing equipment specifications, collaborating on procurement processes, and ensuring technical compliance for new and existing terminals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment, particularly in port environments, and demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills. Location:
APM Terminals headquarters, Equipment Engineer is part of Global Asset Engineering and Design Team and is responsible for providing input and assistance to deployment of terminal equipment - for new and existing terminals - and translating Operational Requirements into the technical specifications and technical drawings.
Additionally, evaluates the technical proposals and, in collaboration with Procurement, selects suppliers, optimising cost and time while reducing risk.
Accountable to carry out the technical review of the Equipment Design developed by suppliers, electrical and/or mechanical.
We are looking for an equipment engineer with experience on developing equipment specifications, being part of large procurement processes, delivering and commissioning heavy equipment, preferable in a Port or container terminal environments.
