Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Power Electrical Engineer II to lead the design of power electronics hardware for aerospace platforms. You will shape DC/DC/AC/DC converters, motor controllers, and power supplies, influencing the full hardware lifecycle from concept through qualification.

Requires hands-on power topology experience and the ability to work across Systems, Mechanical, Software and Manufacturing teams. U.S.

Qualifications

• Hands-on design and analysis of power electronics hardware.
• Experience with DC/DC and AC/DC converters and motor controllers.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards and verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of power electronics hardware, including DC/DC and AC/DC converters.
• Perform circuit analysis, modeling and simulation to meet requirements.
• Create requirements, designs, schematics, BOMs, and test plans.
• Support integration, verification, and qualification testing.
• Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing and Digital Hardware teams.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and mission assurance.
