Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Designer and Drafter to independently design and draft electrical distribution work packages for utility customers, focusing on overhead systems. You will translate field data and client requirements into complete construction packages used in new construction and reliability projects.

The role requires proficiency with CAD tools and the ability to learn Open Utilities or similar software, with a hybrid work setup in Bay City, MI.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and drafting electrical distribution/utility projects.
• Ability to interpret client requirements and translate field data into buildable packages.
• Must be able to learn Open Utilities or similar software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and draft construction work packages for overhead/underground distribution systems.
• Review client scopes, clarify requirements, and coordinate with clients for missing information.
• Conduct field measurements and site visits to verify existing conditions.
