Job summary

Insight Global is assisting a National Engineering Services Firm in finding a CAD Drafter to contribute to power distribution projects. The role involves design work, QA/QC, and collaboration with engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver cost-effective, high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities include reviewing design packages, creating single-line diagrams, field surveys, and documenting existing conditions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD with at least 1+ year of experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions with PPE

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Manager to review engineering design packages, drawings, BOM, and procedures
• Perform basic to intermediate engineering designs and single-line diagrams
• Survey and document existing utility field conditions using GPS and conventional methods
• Contribute to design modifications to improve project quality and processes
• Communicate effectively within the team and with external stakeholders
• Demonstrate strong organization, time management, and adaptability in a dynamic environment
